Experience

My strongest areas are full-stack web development, parallel and HPC programming, and graph algorithms. Everything else supports those three.

Software Developer

Pluxee Austria

Full-stack work on an employee-benefits platform: C# and ASP.NET Core on the backend, SvelteKit and TypeScript on the frontend.

  • Feature work and bug fixing across backend and frontend.
  • Built a framework-agnostic UI component library that compiles to web components and runs in production.
  • Designed a microfrontend proof of concept that composes independently deployed apps into one product.
  • Containerised and deployed internal tooling with Docker on Azure.
A few examples
  • Absence-based benefits: each employee’s benefit is working days minus absences, times a daily amount, under a per-employee cap. The data arrives from clients’ HR systems through an HRIS integration, which also meant handling dropped connections and reconnection.
  • CRM import fixes: repeated imports of company accounts picked the wrong contact person and showed the wrong header. Traced and fixed the underlying state bugs.
  • Database upgrade: moved the graph database server to the latest community release, covering breaking changes, the Java runtime, Docker and config, a non-production rollout first and a documented rollback plan.

Teaching Assistant

University of Vienna

Tutor for Parallel Architectures & Programming Models, Parallel Computing / HPC and Cloud Computing, with 100 to 120 students per semester.

  • Run tutorials on MPI, OpenMP, hybrid MPI+OpenMP, OpenCL and GPU programming, and debug student code live.
  • Built an automated grading pipeline on the ALMA cluster that benchmarks every submission and writes a multi-sheet Excel report.
  • Moderate the course forum, write individual feedback and supervise exams.

Student Research Assistant

University of Vienna, Theory and Applications of Algorithms group

Research on incremental and fully dynamic maximum flow, and dynamic approximate matching.

  • Wrote technical drafts and iterated on them with my supervisor.
  • This work led directly into my MSc thesis.

Application Developer, Educational Software

Lab@Home, Constructor University

Sole developer of a learning app used by students in university chemistry lab courses, taken from prototype to real classroom use.

  • Implemented computer-vision and optimisation algorithms for automated, image-based measurement.
  • Built the data collection and processing pipeline behind it.
  • Shipped it cross-platform with Xamarin and React Native, plus native Objective-C and Java pieces.
